Professional BioDavid Ross has been serving the American legal community with international depositions for more than 25 years. There isnt much he hasnt seen and heard while contributing to cases large and small in that time. He spent much of his earlier years in the industry freelancing as a videographer all over Europe before founding TransAtlantic International Legal Solutions in 2013. David is an expert in the international sector. br br“International is unique because apart from court reporting - producing depositions, arbitrations and day in the life video, we are also expected to accommodate complex logistics for travel with times-zones to contend with.” br brDavid has had a very broad spectrum in many diverse media-based businesses before meeting with the court reporting industry. Coming from a family of photographers in Dublin Ireland going back more than 80 years, he worked in fashion and as a film maker in the 1980’s and 90s in London. Then he went on represent artists in music and film industries, where he worked regularly with lawyers and contract negotiation for his clients. He also studied broadcast presenting and acting as a hobby, because of his keen interest for documentary film-making. br brIn the process he was invited to work with actors to direct and help them perform for various docu-dramas. This inadvertently led to him filling in as an actor on various film and television programmes. br br“Acting didn’t make a lot of money, but the stage was fun” br brAt the turn of the millennium, David was introduced to a company who ushered him towards the world of legal video production, which was a business he was curious to explore. With his background in film and photography he was keen to find a new outlet, so he trained as a legal videographer. Here was where he met these remarkably skilled stenographers, who ultimately taught him the business. br brTransAtlantic is now the biggest deposition agency in Europe. brDavid loves to make sure that lawyers and paralegals have nothing to worry about. He says, “well we have the best court reporters in the world, so I enjoy proving we can handle anything. Our motto has always been – ‘There’s no point in going anywhere else’” br brAfter spending many years in various media industries, including professional photography …David came into the court reporting business with a different perspective. He believes relationships are everything and he enjoys cultivating them. br brTransAtlantic have evolved over the years to act as an advisory service with their own legal counsel experts for cross border litigation to US law firms, so that they can plan their proceedings better - whether to go through the Hague Convention, or have a local Notary present for certain countries is a common question. There are also many territories where American depositions are not permitted, so they are challenged with presenting options so that witnesses can still testify. br brRemote proceedings are certainly not new with international cases. TransAtlantic ARE remote to America and so are their clients’ witnesses! They’ve had to be prepared to record remote proceedings with various mediums and teleconference facilities, long before the days of Zoom. “It’s always been an issue where not all attorneys can travel for the big cases we handle.” br brTransAtlantic is also managed differently to similar US operations because the business is not about volume. It’s a VIP firm, meeting highest standards utilizing the latest technology on major litigation. They are also renowned for being the first to develop and implement new tech solutions in realtime court reporting and legal video. br brDavid is proud to be the only international contractor to the USDOJ because of the standards he’s established. brWhere TransAtlantic are situated, they have few competitors and certainly no enemies. David has established partnerships with most of the major court reporting firms in USA. They rely on TransAtlantic International Legal Solutions because of their position and expertise. He also receives a lot of inquiries from local court reporting firms in different states, who need support running cases abroad.

We are based in Europe but we generally work US hours. I could list locations forever as we are truly global when it comes to our experience operating in so many countries and cites. So there are too many to mention, specialising in US depositions outside America.
